Hinterbergstraße is a restrained winter home shaped by its forest setting and alpine climate. Dark masonry, sheltered roof forms and broad windows create a strong contrast between the cold landscape outside and the warmth within.

The project required a restrained contemporary character suited to both the alpine climate and its remote woodland context. The visual approach centred on the transition between the exposed winter landscape and the protected interior. Pitched roofs, dark textured façades and recessed openings give the home a sense of permanence, while expansive windows maintain a close connection to the forest.
The result is a cohesive vision of alpine living: quiet in form, warm at its centre and carefully integrated into the snow-covered landscape.
